Christopher Brooks
Christopher Brooks first visited the Black Rock Desert in the late '80s. His career in software afforded him plenty of opportunitiesto visit the desert, get a little work done, and get a little fun done. His first book about the region was published in 2003.
Christina Preston
Christina Preston holds an M.Sc. in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis. As a community researcher, she has collaborated with various museums, cultural centers, and universities on public history projects. A self-proclaimed "desert rat," she prefers stark landscapes over populated areas and has frequented the Black Rock Desert for over twenty years.
