Christopher Brooks

Christopher Brooks has been visiting the Black Rock Desert since the late 80s. His then career in software afforded him plenty of opportunities to visit the desert, get a little work done, and get a little fun done. In 2013, he authored Black Rock Desert (Arcadia Publishing). Christopher spends his time helping people with home maintenance and restoring a '91 Toyota Pickup. He is active with Survival Research Laboratories, where he works on the electronic controls of large radio-controlled machines. Christopher spends his time with his wife, Tansy, in Sonoma County, the Black Rock Desert and at the family cabin in Northeastern Ontario.
